In The Navy

I feel that navy is the new black with clothes - it's classy and sleek but not as bold as black can be.

I just love this striped top from Marcs. It's comfortable yet looks dressy with the right outfit. My navy dress pants I had made in Vietnam - they're perfect! They fit my body shape and didn't break the budget.

I chose to match pink and rose gold jewelry with my outfit as it added a girlie touch and the heels are from Jo Mercer. They are a good quality staple pair of heels that are perfect for the working lady.

Hope you're all having a great week and not long till the weekend!

Business As Usual

Happy Monday to all! Not my favourite day of the week..but got to make the most of it : )

It was business attire as usual for me. I always tend to go for something easy on a Monday, and a dress is a great option. This navy number I got made while in Vietnam, so it's made to fit. This style of dress is perfect for work - not too short and with a nice pop of colour.

I didn't want to go too bright so I added a black peplum jacket from Cue. This was a tad expensive but worth every penny. I get so much wear out of it and it's a twist to the everyday blazer. I added a thin black belt to sinch the waist, black stockings for warmth more than anything and black flats.

I finished off the look with a blue and silver statement necklace to dress up the outfit. I like maching the colours on jewelry to the clothing im wearing, like I've done here.

I hope you've all had or having a good Monday and here's to a great week ahead!

Spots & Stripes

Today's look was very spring on top and winter on bottom. Sometimes I like mixing patterns together instead of adding bright colours. Its easy to do when they come from similar colour pallets.
My scarf I found in a little boutique store when I was in San Francisco and my jacket is from Banana Republic. I wear a lot of peplum tops and this creamy one is from Country Road. My navy leggings are from Suzanne - I love these leggings because they're very thick and comfy, especially with some flat boots.
This makes for one of my favourite casual looks when it's a tad chilly outdoors.
